The official site for A Perfect Getaway has been revamped and now has quite a few video clips, wallpapers, photos and more. I’ve embedded the new clip featuring Chris below and you can view the rest of them (and other features) here.
The gallery has been updated with the following new Home and Away photos. A big thanks to Ida and Jamie for their contributions.
The big news recently on THOR was the casting of Natalie Portman but at Comic Con we caught up with Kevin Feige who revealed the film will begin shooting in January. He revealed to us that finding his lead Chris Hemsworth who played young Captain Kirk in JJ Abrams Star Trek was a perfect fit. He said quote:
You know what, it’s one of those rare things that doesn’t happen often but people like me always say it so it probably sounds cliché. We auditioned a lot of people. We did a lot of screen tests. We put a lot of people on video and one guy just kept popping out and it was Chris. You realize, regardless of what he’s saying or how he’s saying it, you’re engaged with him. It’s that movie star quality which I think he has. And, thankfully, he looks like Thor which is a good combination.
As far as how the film is coming he revealed:
Kenneth is great and we’ve got Tom Hiddleston, we’ve got Chris Hemsworth who I can’t wait until next year when we bring all of those guys out here. Natalie Portman’s on board which we’ve mentioned. I think we’re nearing, closing in on Odins and Heindels and the Warriors Three which we’re excited about. We’re about halfway through prep. We start filming in January.
The Official Movie Novelization is currently available for pre-order here at Amazon.com and here at Amazon.ca and will be released on February 9, 2010.
Titan will be releasing official tie-ins to the upcoming Joss Whedon/Drew Goddard horror movie from MGM, CABIN IN THE WOODS!
The awesome duo, who worked together on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, are teaming up for this horror film to end all horror films. Co-written by the pair and directed by Goddard, who also wrote last year’s hit monster movie Cloverfield, the details of the plot are a closely guarded secret, though Joss himself has described it as “a straight-up, balls-out, really terrifying horror movie,†adding,â€it is not just a slasher in the woods. It’s a little more complicated than that…â€
All will be revealed in the Official Novelisation and the Official Visual Companion both set for release alongside the movie in February 2010. In true Titan style, the Companion promises in-depth interviews, stunning production art, and hundreds of color photos, plus the full screenplay by Whedon and Goddard.
3 teaser posters for The Cabin in the Woods were released at Comic Con and I have to say that the taglines are pretty funny. I’ve added them to the gallery and they can be viewed here.
