We’ve seen the English and Russian versions, now it is time for the German edition. The German movie trailer for the upcoming film, The Avengers has been released. The Russian and German trailers appear to be virtually identical, both containing new footage. Take a look below:
We all know that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is the main villain of Marvel’s The Avengers. But this Joss Whedon directed ensemble is rumored to have a second villain that has, until now, been kept a tightly guarded secret.
NECA’s HeroClix is set to release their Marvel’s the Avengers line in 2012, and a product description sent to retailers seemingly gives away the identity of the film’s top secret villain. If we are to believe this toy description, Captain America: The First Avenger foe Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) will be the one helping Loki to destroy our team of superheroes this summer.
Here is the product description for the HeroClix line of Marvel’s the Avengers miniature figurines.
“Charging straight out of theaters and onto your tabletop, Marvel’s the Avengers Movie HeroClix set features heroes like Captain America and Thor as they battle the villainy of the Red Skull and Loki! Each Counter-Top display includes standard one-figure boosters as well as new three-figure “Team Packs”! Team Packs are designed with strong thematic undertones – play a Hydra force or defend freedom with a S.H.I.E.L.D. team pack!”
It should be noted that at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, Red Skull is transported into another realm, which could very well be Asgard. Its also possible that Red Skull is include in his Marvel’s the Avengers line simply because it contains 24 single figures, plus 4 team packs of 3 figures each. That’s a lot of characters needed to fill out this particular set of miniatures, and NECA may simply be borrowing characters from other Marvel movies.
Marvel’s the Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. (Source)
Marvel has unleashed a new international Russian trailer for The Avengers, and it contains a bit more new footage. The trailer is completely in Russian but you still get a pretty good idea of what is going on. There’s no doubt that this film is going to be epic.
Earlier today, Walt Disney Pictures announced Marvel’s The Avengers will be converted for a 3D release. Director Joss Whedon recently spoke about the news, assuring fans that Marvel’s the Avengers isn’t, “obnoxiously 3D.” Here’s what the filmmaker had to say below.
“There’s no, ‘Oh look, we’re going to spend 20 minutes going through this tunnel because it’s in 3D!’ And no one is pointing at the screen the entire time. But it’s an action movie. Things tend to hurtle toward the screen anyway.”
Joss Whedon also said he is fully behind the decision to covert Marvel’s the Avengers to 3D in post-production, and that 3D fits his style of directing.
“Yeah, it’s fun! I’m not a big fan of extreme long lens, talky movies. I like to see the space I’m in and relate to it, so 3D kind of fits my aesthetic anyway. And the technology has advanced so far in the past couple years.”
Marvel’s The Avengers is still keeping its May 4, 2012 release date, despite the 3D conversion. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr., Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and is directed by Joss Whedon. (Source)

Marvel Studios’ Thor managed to knock out its comic book-based movie competition — Green Lantern, Cowboys and Aliens, X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger at the box office this summer, but it failed to beat Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 as the movie of the summer and is only eighth highest grossing movie of the year.
However, according to Twitter’s 2011 Year in Review, Thor conquered all challengers to take the “Hot Topics” title of most tweeted movie of the year. Chris Hemsworth failed to crack the top ten list of most tweeted actors of 2011, but the actress who played his love interest in Thor, Natalie Portman, came in at #5.
The Most Tweeted Movies:
2. The Dark Knight Rises
3. X-Men: First Class
4. Fast Five
5. The Green Hornet

FilmDistrict has handed out a November 2, 2012 release date for the long-delayed action remake Red Dawn. The movie was shelved for the past two years, due to MGM’s financial troubles. We reported in September that FilmDistrict picked up Red Dawn’s distribution rights.
Red Dawn stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, and Josh Peck. The story centers on a group of youngsters dubbed “Wolverines,” who fight back against a Communist invasion on U.S. soil. We also reported back in March that the Communist enemy was changed from Chinese to North Korean, with the filmmakers digitally changing all of the Chinese flags to North Korean.
Red Dawn will square off against the Paramount comedy My Mother’s Curse and Pixar’s reck-It Ralph on November 2, 2012.
Red Dawn comes to theaters November 2nd, 2012 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Josh Peck, Brett Cullen, Matt Gerald. The film is directed by Dan Bradley. (Source)

Kristen Stewart is living an Aussie fairytale on the set of her new film, Snow White and the Huntsman. The 21-year-old, whose mother is an Australian, originally from Queensland, feels very at home with co-star Chris Hemsworth.
“I feel so incredibly comfortable around him. There is a very particular Aussie mentality and he has got it. He epitomises it,” Stewart told The Daily Telegraph.
“He’s really smart and he’s very impassioned, but he’s also really funny and light and kinda loud. His accent is funny. I can’t do it, I’m always trying to mimic him but I cannot do it!”
Snow White and the Huntsmana is a Lord of the Rings-style epic reimagining of the classic fairytale, in which Stewart’s Snow White is a warrior princess on a mission to take down the Evil Queen Ravena (Charlize Theron), with the help of Hemsworth’s Huntsman.
“I have an English accent in the film, that’s much easier for me for some reason. That Australian thing is tough,” Stewart said.
It is currently shooting in England and will be released in June 2012. (Source)

"Chris Hemsworth is like Christopher Reeve in that he can do two things: he can wear a big red cape without a shred of self-consciousness. But he's also funny as hell, and he's so sweet. So with all the fish-out-of-water stuff, he's so funny. So he does almost two jobs in a way." - Tom Hiddleston ("Thor") about Chris
