WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT: YOU OR A KANGAROO?
Hemsworth is keenly aware that his bio—the bush life, the surfing, the buffalo-hunting dad—make his upbringing sound “like I tick every box on the Crocodile Dundee form.” He thinks it makes him seem more macho than he really is. That said: “Kangaroo. Absolutely. It would kick you in the face. A lot. They lean back on their tails and double-kick. That’s how they fight each other in the wild.”
RANK THESE FILMS FROM MOST PREFERRED TO LEAST: THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, RESERVOIR DOGS, MAD MAX, THE LATE FILMS OF LIAM NEESON, THE NOTEBOOK.
“Shawshank, Mad Max, Reservoir Dogs, Big Lebowski, The Notebook, then Liam,” says Hemsworth. “Nothing against Liam. I love Liam—I just haven’t seen his late films.” He didn’t hate The Notebook, either. “It was solid. I need to do a romance, something where I’m not swinging a weapon and beating someone up.” Hemsworth did just finish his first comedy, with a small part as a “Texas weatherman cheeseball” in October’s Vacation sequel, which stars Ed Helms as a grown-up Rusty. It’s Hemsworth’s first shot at improv.
“I haven’t been that nervous in a long time,” he says. “But very quickly I realized, this is fun. There was no ego. Every day we’d be on set, laughing. I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me? Why wouldn’t I do more of this?’ “

The actor, 31, thought it was “pretty funny” when he first heard the news – as did his wife, Spanish model Elsa Pataky, 38, whom he wed in 2010.
“I think you’ve bought me a couple of weeks of bragging rights around the house,” he tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “I can just say to her, ‘Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change nappies. I’m above that. I’ve made it now.'”
The Australian-bred Hemsworth also reveals that he prefers to sleep sans pajamas, has a signature dance move (with a spin!) and would rather be home in Australia, where he and Pataky live with their three kids – daughter India, 2½, and 8-month-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan – than anywhere else.
“We just had a big beach day with the kids, swimming and kicking the ball around,” he says. “That was the first time in a long time we’ve done that. That’s what it’s all about.”
As for that ripped body, Hemsworth, who puts on 20 lbs. of muscle for his role as Thor, says he tries to be disciplined when it comes to his diet and exercise but looks forward to his cheat days. “Then it’s pizza, hamburgers, beer, sugary things,” he adds. “Everything I’m not allowed to have!”
New York Times’ Vulture announced their annual Most Valuable Stars list. Chris was ranked #21 in the general ranking list. Take a look below at his “qualifications.”
Chris Hemsworth: The Go-To God
Chris Hemsworth’s brand of young, bankable studliness is in short supply in Hollywood, and his studio score shot up a great deal from last year (alongside improved box-office scores thanks to Thor: The Dark World). His racing drama Rush underperformed this fall, but Hollywood still rates Hemsworth high, with the Snow White and the Huntsman series being retooled to center around his character and A-list directors like Michael Mann (who cast Hemsworth in the forthcoming Blackhat) and Ron Howard (who will reunite with his Rush star for the Moby-Dick movie In the Neart of the Sea), giving him a seal of approval.
Idris Elba let it slip in an interview with the UK’s Telegraph that he and Tom Hiddleston will appear in next May’s Avengers: Age of Ultron sequel. Elba didn’t specify much about his role in “The Avengers,” but he did mention that the two men will have a scene with Chris Hemsworth’s hammer-wielding Thor.
“I’m in Avengers,” Elba confirmed while talking about balancing his career as a DJ with his work as an actor. “I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, ‘Aren’t you (meant to be) in Ibiza?'”
Chris and his beautiful wife, Elsa Pataky were in Sydney, Australia for the Foxtel Season Launch. The event was held at Sydney Theatre on October 30th. Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.
Marvel Studios held a major event in Los Angeles today, announcing titles, release dates, and initial details for the Marvel movies coming out between now and 2020. Thor 3 is now officially known as Thor: Ragnarok, and is confirmed to hit theaters on July 28, 2017. Take a look at the official logo unveiled by Marvel:
“This is a very important movie for us in Phase 3,” said Marvel’s Kevin Feige. “We plan on taking Thor to another level. It picks up where we leave Thor in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and impacts everything that comes after.”
On stage at Marvel’s event, Feige confirmed that in this context Ragnarok means “The end of all things.” The movie was also called out as the “key film” of Phase Three, and that it starts right after Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Chris Hemsworth is confirmed to return as the Mightiest Avenger – for now no other cast details have been confirmed. (Souce)

"Chris Hemsworth is like Christopher Reeve in that he can do two things: he can wear a big red cape without a shred of self-consciousness. But he's also funny as hell, and he's so sweet. So with all the fish-out-of-water stuff, he's so funny. So he does almost two jobs in a way." - Tom Hiddleston ("Thor") about Chris
